Meet Our Food
Crispy on the outside and soft inside. That’s how we bake our baguettes. Prepared from scratch and cooked in our own steam ovens, we make them throughout the day.
And whether it’s a delicious char-grilled bánh mì with barbecue pork or beef, teriyaki chicken or Cajun shrimp, the meats are expertly seasoned and cooked at the restaurant and served with only the freshest vegetables, pickled carrots, and homemade Mayo.
Baguette Express also prepares all of its foods with natural ingredients. No artificial flavorings. No preservatives. Some customer favorites include the spring rolls, egg rolls, bobas, smoothies and teas.
The baguette and bánh mì
When the French left Vietnam in 1954 after 100 years of colonial rule, that slender bread the French called the baguette remained. The sandwiches they made with the baguette were a culinary fixture by this time.
But with France's departure the Vietnamese began incorporating more of their own styles of vegetables, meats and sauces in this quite portable and tasty bánh mì, selling it from small food stands outside schools or factories. Today, the sandwich enjoys a cult-like popularity alongside phở and boba drinks.

At the Baguette Express, authenticity is everything. From the homemade phở to the bánh mì to the way we serve our patrons, we specialize in the details of Vietnamese cuisine. This passion rises from a business that is family-owned and devoted to making you feel welcome.
We're located just one block from Cal State San Bernardino. Since opening in 2008, the Baguette has become a favorite eatery for so many CSUSB students, professors and staff, locals from the University District, and customers from Victorville to Palm Springs and all points in between. Many come by so routinely we pretty much know what they want before they even order.
